GA 10 - Freedom Parkway:
This 4-lane divided expressway in downtown Atlanta connects I-75 / I-85 to US 29/78/278. The speed limit is 35, although traffic generally moves faster than that.

GA 42 Connector - Freedom Parkway:
GA 42 Connector is a short 2-lane divided expressway in downtown Atlanta going from the GA 10 expressway at the Jimmy Carter Library east to US 23 / GA 42. From the early 1970’s to 1996, this was part of the partially-built GA 410, until the newly-built parkway replaced it.

GA 204:
Although maps show the part of GA 204 from I-95 to US 17 as a freeway, it is actually an expressway. Just east of the I-95 interchange, there is a traffic light at a road leading to some hotels and restaurants.  

History:
The “Abercorn Extension” was proposed in 1968 and completed in 1972. For more information, see J.T. Legg’s history of the route.

 

 

GA 300:
Although for most of its route, GA 300 is a standard Georgia 4-lane, with a mix of divided and continuous center turn lane, the Cordele Bypass is an expressway.

There are interchanges at I-75 and US 41.

 

 

US 301:
The US 301 bypass of Sylvania is an expressway. Feeder roads parallel the highway for the entire distance, and there is space reserved for a future interchagne at GA 21.

 

GA 316:
This expressway, which runs from I-85 east of Atlanta to Athens, is soon going to be upgraded to a freeway.

 

GA 365:
GA 365 starts at I-85, 30 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. From here, it multiplexes with I-985 as a freeway for 22 miles, ending on the east side of Gainesville. GA 365 is an expressway from the end of I-985 to the GA 17 / US 123 junction near Toccoa. It is planned to extend southeast of that, following the GA 17 corridor, to reconnect to I-85.

 

US 411:
US 411 is an old expressway from Rome to Cartersville. There are interchanges in both cities, plus a grade separation at GA 294.

This is the central interchange of Rome, where the US 411 expressway ends at US 27, which is a full freeway here, at a big three-level interchange.
