IA 13 is an expressway in the Cedar Rapids area, running from Central City south to US 30. For part of the time, its multiplexed with US 151.

US 18:
An expressway in Spencer and from the  Cerro Gordo / Floyd county line to the north end of the Charles City Bypass. Future plans call for a Spencer Bypass, an expressway from Garner to I-35,  and a Super-2 east of Postville.

US 20:
An expressway from US 75 to east of  Moville, from US 169 to IA 17, and from IA 38 to Locust St in Dubuque. US 20  will eventually be a freeway / expressway across the entire state. The US 20 Corridor Association is  promoting its completion. The section from US 71 to Moorland is currently  under design, and environmental and location studies are underway for the  section from Moville to US 71.

US 30:
An expressway from 3 miles west of Denison to Denison, US 169 to the Boone / Story county line, I-35 to US 65, the west end of the US 218 multiplex to 16th St in Cedar Rapids, C St. in Cedar Rapids to 3 miles west of Mount Vernon, and US 61 to just west of US  67. US 30 will eventually be an expressway from US 169 to the Illinois border. Location and environmental studies are underway for the sections not yet completed.
