MD 165 South to US 1 2-lane Expressway

A 2-lane expressway in Northeastern Maryland connecting US 1 in Bel Air to MD 165 in Jarrettsville. Combined with the US 1 Bel Air Bypass and MD 24, Jarrettsville has an expressway straight down to I-95. A stub ending at the current western terminus hints of a possible future extension to the west.

US 29:
US 29 is an expressway from MD 650 north to MD 216, where it becomes a freeway. There are few driveways, and  almost no new driveways are allowed. Interchanges are planned at all the at-grades on the expressway. For more information on the construction process see:

US 40 is multiplexed along the US 15 freeway and the I-70 freeway until exit 82 (one exit east of MD 32)
I-70 to MD 144 at Pine Orchard 4-lane Expressway
US 40 is a multilane boulevard for the rest of the way into Baltimore. East of Baltimore, it is a multilane arterial, but does not become an expressway.
