US 84:
US 84 Expressway in Lawrence, Jefferson Davis, and Covington Counties:
This project will follow existing US 84 until it gets to be 2 miles west of MS 27. It will then parallel the existing highway to the north, but never going more than a mile north of it, until it merges back in 2 miles east of MS 43. The expressway then follows existing US 84 until for the 2-mile long Silver Creek Bypass, which will pass a mile south of downtown and straighten out the highway. The next town bypassed is Prentiss, with a 3 1/2 mile bypass that is about a mile to the north of the town. Finally, the Collins Bypass adds mileage to US 84 when bypassing it to the north. It starts 1 1/2 miles west of US 49 and ends just east of town (a little more than 1 mile east of US 49 on existing 84).

US 98:
The entire US 98 4-lane highway, from US 84 in Bude to the Alabama border, is now complete except for the 27 mile segment from Bude to I-55.
East of I-59, there are 67 miles free of traffic lights to the Alabama border. However, at the Alabama border, it narrows to 2 lanes and becomes congested as it enters Mobile. That can be bypassed by taking the MS 63 expressway/arterial in Lucedale south to I-10.
