History:

  • 2001-2002 – New lanes completed along Route 13 between Clinton and 2-1/4 miles north of Collins

  • 2003-2004 – New lanes added and three interchanges built between Route 83/Business 13 and Route 32 in Bolivar

  • 2003-2004 – New lanes added between Bolivar and Humansville
     

Future Improvements:

  • A 2-lane expressway is planned in the Branson West area. This 2.7-mile highway will bypass the congested area near the MO 76 junction. ROW acquisition began in January 2005 and construction is scheduled to begin in summer 2006. The highway will be widened to four lanes in the future.

  • The 2-lane expressway between Humansville and Collins will be widened to a 4-lane expressway. Construction began in fall 2004 and will be completed in early 2007.

  • A 4-lane expressway bypass of Collins is planned. Construction will begin in mid-2006 and will be completed in early 2009.

  • A 4-lane expressway bypass of Lexington is under construction. The highway should be complete by mid-June 2005. Click here to see construction pictures by Ben Prusia.
