Guilford College Rd:
Guilford College Road, between High Point and Greensboro, is being upgraded to
an expressway between High Point Rd and the future Greensboro Beltway (Painters
Boulevard / I-40 / I-840). Some existing driveways will be maintained on the
route, but access rights will be purchased.

Henderson Outer Loop:
A new expressway is being built to the southwest of Henderson. This highway will
connect to I-85 at an existing diamond interchange, but will not connect to US 1. The eastern end will be at Old County Home Rd.

Hope Mills Bypass:
This expressway south of Fayetteville is under construction.
Hickory East Side Thoroughfare:
This will be a new expressway looping around the east side of Hickory, connecting I-40 to NC 127.
It will connect to the proposed NC 16 expressway, which will be built from
Newton to Charlotte.

| Macedonia Church Rd to NC 136 |
ROW purchase began on September 30, 1999. The
construction contract was let on December 16, 2003. The project is
slated for completion in December 2006. |

Martin Luther King Parkway:
This is an expressway in Wilmington.

Owen Drive Extension:
This new highway in Fayetteville will extend Owen Drive from I-95 Business (US 301) to NC 87. The western part will be an expressway on new alignment and the eastern part will widen the existing Mountain Drive to a 4-lane boulevard. Further north, Owen Drive transitions into the All-American Freeway which provides access to Fort Bragg.
