US 22:
US 22 is a Jersey Freeway on the Somerville Bypass (Vossellor Ave to just past US 202/206) and from New Providence Rd. in Mountainside to US 1/9 in Newark.

 

NJ 35:

NJ 35 is a Jersey Freeway on the South Amboy Bypass.

NJ 208:
This Jersey Freeway extends the NJ 4 Jersey Freeway west to I-287, providing access to New York City for the people of this area of North Jersey.

History:

Date Activity
Early 1930's first plan for an expressway in the NJ 208 corridor
1952 Construction of NJ 208 as a Super-2 expressway started
1956 Super-2 from NJ 4 west to Maple Ave in Fair Lawn complete
1960 Super-2 expressway completed
Late 1960's Upgraded to a 4-lane expressway
Early 1990's Connected to new  I-287 freeway; Last signal (McBride Ave in Fairlawn) is removed, meaning that NJ 208 is now up to Jersey Freeway standards for its entire length.
April 2001 Work began on a new interchange with the NJ 4 Jersey Freeway and on building local / express lanes on part of NJ 208
