NS-101:
This highway links Nova Scotia’s two biggest ports, Halifax and Yarmouth. It begins in Sackville (a suburb of Halifax) and ends at the
northern edge of Yarmouth. With a length of 323 kilometers, it is the longest 100-series highway. Most of the route is up to freeway standards, with 27 consecutive interchanges between Exit 2 and Exit 24. However, there are also some at-grade intersections along the highway. The expressway ends merely a km or two away from the end of NS-103, but there are no plans to connect the two highways to create a limited access loop route around southern Nova Scotia.
