OH 5 is an expressway from I-76 south of Ravenna to .57 miles west of OH 82. East of this, there is a 1.74-mile long 4-lane undivided stretch with no access control before the freeway-grade Warren Bypass begins. Most of the expressway is a super-2, with the exception of the segment from I-76 to OH 59 and the final 2.73 miles at the east end of the expressway. The overall length is 20.22 miles.
