Old US 23 in Chillicothe:
The old alignment of US 23 in Chillicothe is an expressway from Hopetown Rd to US 23 North. (The old alignment of US 23 south of downtown is also an expressway, but is part of OH 104, so information is available here.)

US 24:
 

US 24 is an expressway from Defiance to Napoleon, including bypasses of Defiance and Napoleon. The eastern end of the expressway is 1.06 miles east of US 6 East. The expressway is 2 lanes for most of this distance, except for a 1.75-mile long 4-lane segment on the Defiance Bypass and a 5.8-mile long 4-lane segment on the Napoleon Bypass. The total length of the expressway, including the bypasses on each end, is 22.56 miles.

US 24 is a 4-lane expressway from Waterville to OH 25 North in Maumee. This segment is 7.73 miles long.

This picture shows the urban nature of the Anthony Wayne Trail in Maumee. It was taken at the point where OH 25 leaves the expressway to cross a bridge over the Maumee River.

 

OH 25 / Anthony Wayne Trail:
OH 25 is an expressway from US 24 West to I-75. This segment is 8.34 miles long.

History:

1952 Law declaring OH 25 in Toledo an expressway put into effect: TOLEDO Anthony Wayne Trail Laws: (TMC 331.30)
  • 1.  The Anthony Wayne Trail is hereby declared to be a "limited-access highway".
  • 2.  No person shall drive or operate upon the A.W. Trail or any part thereof any vehicle which  is designated in Section 303.06(b).  The provisions of this section shall not apply to vehicles crossing the A.W. Trail at regular designated crossings thereof.
  • 3.  No driver or operator of a vehicle shall stand or park the same on the A.W. Trail except in the case of emergency repairs and in such event only for so long as shall be necessary to make emergency repairs to such vehicle.
  • 4.  No curb cuts,  ingress, or egress shall be allowed at any point along the A.W. Trail and only the following points are hereby designated as public points of entry  and exit:
    A. ENTRY: Michigan Street, Lafayette Street, I-75, Collingwood Avenue (SW Bound ONLY), City Park Avenue, Western Avenue, South Avenue, Toledo Zoo access drive, Woodsdale Avenue/Harvard Boulevard, Glendale Avenue, Sherwood Avenue, and Copland  Boulevard.
    B.  EXIT: Erie Street, Lafayette Street, I-75, Collingwood Avenue (NE Bound ONLY), City Park Avenue, Western Avenue, South Avenue, Toledo Zoo parking lot, Toledo Zoo access drive, Woodsdale Avenue/Harvard Boulevard, Glendale Avenue, Sherwood Avenue, and Copland Boulevard.

Trump Ave in East Canton to OH 11 The expressway was first studied in 1956. It didn’t get attention again until between 1991 and 1995, when various alternatives were considered. A preferred alternative was selected in 1997, but rejected in 1999. The new EIS will be complete in 2004, with preliminary engineering for the Trump Ave to OH 44 segment taking place that year. In 2005, preliminary engineering will begin for the OH 44 to OH 9 segment and design work will take place for the Trump Ave to OH 44 segment. ROW will be purchased for the Trump Ave to OH 44 segment in 2007, and construction is scheduled for 2009.
