Elick Lane / Bach - Buxton Road in Eastgate |
signal. Bach-Buxton Road
was extended north to OH
32 from its old terminus
at Clough Pike as a way
to relieve traffic. The
idea was that people
could use it as a
north-south route
instead of going all the
way over to I-275.
However, it had the
opposite effect. Not
only did it slow down
traffic on OH 32, but it
also opened new land to
development, adding cars
to the roads. Today, the
signal is a big
bottleneck at rush hour.
There are left turn
signals from both
directions on OH 32.
Before this signal was
installed, Bach-Buxton
Road ended at OH 125,
and Elick Lane south of OH 32 was a dead end road. Elick Lane north of OH 32 is a short residential road often used as a shortcut to Old OH 74. |

about this signal: This
