Detailed Description:
Pennsylvania's US 1 runs roughly parallel with I-95 from Morrisville to Center City. Then US 1 turns southwest and follows travels through Delaware and Chester counties. US 1 continues into Maryland where it is a super-2 expressway at the state line. US 1 has many freeway segments through its length in Pennsylvania, as well as some expressway, arterial, and boulevard segments. The dying legendary coast-to-coast Lincoln Highway also runs along mostly US 1 BUSINESS (with some segments along the current alignment of US 1) from Morrisville to Center City. There, the Lincoln Highway permanently turns west along US 30. Another interesting fact about US 1 in Pennsylvania is that it runs through the town of Wawa, where Wawa convenience stores began!

The highway is well known as one of the most dangerous highways in the Philadelphia area.
