Bayfront Parkway:
Built in the early 1990s to alleviate traffic in downtown Erie, the Bayfront Parkway is a super-2 expressway serving Erie's waterfront. There are a few intersections to serve the waterfront. The highway is built as an at-grade extension of I-79. For pictures and more information,
see the Gribblenation page on the Bayfront Parkway.
Center Valley Parkway:
The Center Valley Parkway is an expressway in the Allentown area. It runs parallel to I-78 just south of the freeway, connecting PA 309 to PA 378 and serving local developments.
DeiCas Highway:
This expressway, located south of Pittsburgh, was built as part of a connecting route to the Mon Valley Expressway. The Mon Valley Expressway, although originally cancelled, has since been built as the PA Turnpike Route 43 Mon-Fayette Expressway. However, the connector route has never been finished. It begins at PA 201 near I-70 in Rostraver Township, and travels toward the Donora-Monessen Bridge. After this is the bridge over the Monongahela River, and on the opposite side is an at grade T interchange with PA 837, which continues south as an undivided expressway for a short time. The expressway is a state secondary route, SR 3013. It also bears the title of the "C. Vance DeiCas Memorial Highway."
Junction Log:
The only access points along the highway are a right in/out connection to a side road, and a traffic light at the connecting road to PA 906.
Island Avenue:
Island Avenue is an expressway near the Philadelphia International Airport. The expressway starts at I-95 and continues north to Buist Ave (between Lindbergh Blvd and Woodland Ave). It is flanked by a railroad and service roads with businesses catering to travelers. North of Buist Ave, Island Ave becomes a 4-lane undivided conventional road. The speed limit on the expressway is 35 mph.
