Since the WA 204 expressway splits off from the US 2 freeway, we will start our road trip at the west end of US 2. US 2 begins its eastward journey from Evertt across the Hewitt Ave trestle, seen in the background of this picture.

US 2 east continues to the right, while the left lane is an exit only to WA 204 east. Ahead is yet another split for WA 204 and 20th St E. Photo is at US 2 / WA 204 gore point.
Merging onto EB WA 204 expressway at the end of the flyover from US 2 EB. At the merge, WA 204 EB gains a lane for trucks. Speed limit 60.
WA 204 is a "super-two" expressway with EB truck lane in it's entirety with the exception of the 6-lane section near the eastern terminus.
The truck lane is provided on the eastbound side because WA 204 generally travels uphill as it gets further away from the lowlands surrounding Puget Sound.
WA 204 nearing its eastern terminus. Here the road widens to 6 lanes - 3 EB, 2 WB, and a turn lane.
WA 204 ends at the NEXT stoplight in the background, which is the WA 9 expressway. Click here for pictures of the WA 9 expressway.
