US 5 / CT 15 - Berlin Turnpike:
US 5 is an Jersey Freeway from Meriden to Maple Ave south of Hartford. The route has four interchanges and some intersections. For more information see Scott Oglesby’s Berlin Turnpike page.

 

US 44:
There is a short super-2 expressway segment of US 44 west of Winsted. (The town of Winsted is located near the north end of the CT 8 freeway).

CT 118:
CT 118 is a super-2 expressway from CT 254 near Litchfield to just west of CT 8. It has very few driveways, but has at-grade intersections.

History:
Completed in 1961.
