Summary:

Segment Type of Highway
US 97 to WA 285 in East Wenatchee Improvements planned in the short term. However, an expressway is no longer the preferred alternative. Instead, existing WA 28 will be widened to a 5-lane boulevard. Engineering was completed in fall 2003 and the environmental impact statement will be complete in fall 2004.

WA 99 - Aurora Ave N:
WA 99 is a Jersey Freeway north of Seattle from the north portal of the Battery Street Tunnel at Denny Way north to Winona Ave. The Jersey Freeway designation means that there is uncontrolled driveway access, but no median breaks for at-grade intersections

History:
WA 99 was US 99 until it was downgraded to a state route in 1969.

There are three pedestrian bridges between Woodland Park and the Woodland Park Zoo.
